About Laura Rogers
After studying under multiple mentors over the years, I’ve learned a variety of approaches to training. My fascination with the best and latest practices inspired me to become a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP). I find KPA clicker training, with its positive reinforcement, to be the most effective. Dogs and their owners love it.
I went on to pursue my passion for training service dogs by studying under Atlas Assistance Dogs, eventually earning my service dog trainer certification. Having raised multiple dogs for 5 different service dog organizations and training my own therapy dogs, I have become an expert at helping dogs become socially appropriate and well behaved in all environments. This allows you to relax and enjoy their presence in public, without embarrassment. The more we can have them with us, the more they change and positively impact our lives. I will get you there too!
People with great dogs often want to share them with others as a therapy team. One of my passions lies in helping you to do that. As an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, I am able to recognize your dog’s weak areas, help you overcome them, and work toward the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification, a first step toward becoming a successful therapy team. In need of a service dog? I also volunteer in partnership with Atlas Assistance Dogs in helping you to train your own service dog. See details under my “services” or visit Atlas Assistance Dogs.
